In a significant move towards strengthening its position as a leader in the customer communications sector in Ireland, Mail Metrics, the fastest-growing platform of its kind, has announced the successful acquisition of Dafil. This strategic move has propelled Mail Metrics to new heights, with its revenue skyrocketing from €1 million in 2019 to a projected €40 million by the end of 2023.
The acquisition of Dafil not only reinforces Mail Metrics’ dominant presence but also extends its workforce from 110 to 151 employees, further expanding its clientele, particularly among highly regulated companies.
Nick Keegan, CEO and Co-Founder of Mail Metrics, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “Jean Maher and the Dafil team have cultivated a remarkable business with a stellar reputation in the market, and we are thrilled to welcome them into the Mail Metrics family. Dafil’s four-decade legacy of consistently delivering high-quality service aligns perfectly with our mission. We look forward to closely collaborating with our new colleagues as we seamlessly integrate our two businesses.”
Keegan emphasized Mail Metrics’ dedication to strategic growth, asserting, “While Mail Metrics has achieved remarkable organic growth of 40% year on year, strategic acquisitions remain a cornerstone of our expansion strategy. This transaction marks another pivotal moment as we enhance our acquisition capabilities.”
Mail Metrics specializes in serving industries subject to rigorous regulations, such as financial services and utilities. It addresses the evolving landscape of customer communications for these sectors by managing millions of essential, regulatory, and customer communications annually. These encompass a wide range, from renewal notices and claims correspondence to billing information and general transactional customer communications.
The Mail Metrics platform offers a versatile, multi-channel approach to both inbound and outbound customer communication. Positioned between legacy systems and complex technology stacks employed by large organizations, it acts as a digital client interface, enhancing the customer experience and ensuring regulatory compliance, all while reducing operational costs. This unique software blends cutting-edge digital communications with support for traditional printed and posted communications, all while tailoring each communication to the customer’s preferences.
The decision to acquire Dafil was driven by the synergy between their customer bases and the opportunity to leverage the Mail Metrics platform to transform how these customers engage with their audiences. This move follows Mail Metrics’ previous acquisitions of Persona (Ireland) and Forth Communications (U.K.) in 2021, reinforcing its mission to become a leading global provider of customer communications solutions.
